Sanctioning:
This is a multi-day format of 4 separate 50’s and 4 Limited
Distance Rides. It is
sanctioned by the American Endurance Ride
Conference.
Directions: Stay tuned, we will have some
fabulous changes for the 2008 ride!
Dinners: Dinner will be served before the ride meeting and
the cost is $10.00.
There will be an awards banquet dancing on New Years Eve and
the cost will be
$25.
Trail: More info coming.
Awards: DVE awards will be presented after dinner
and before the dance at the Indian Ranch. The cost of the dinner/dance
will be $25 per person.
Special awards will be presented to those who finish all four
days on the same horse in both the 50 and the LD rides . Completion
Awards will be presented to riders at the evening ride meeting.
Drivers: There will be drivers available to move your
rigs for approximately
$30 per day.
Entry Fees: The entry fee will be TBC for 2008 per
day for both the 50’s and the LD rides. Juniors may ride for
half price. There will be an additional $10 per rig clean up fee to
be paid with the entry.
This is used to haul manure and hay from Valley Wells not for
cleaning up your camp, which is the rider’s responsibility. We will not be able to use
Valley Wells again if the camps are not clean.

Rules:
Horses must be at
least 5 years for the 50 and 4 years for the LD. Pads and Easy Boots are
recommended. Abuse of the horse and use of stimulants or painkillers
are prohibited. Horses
must stand quietly for vet inspections and the opinions of the vets
are final regarding the health of the horse. The same horse and rider
must pass all control points and stay on the marked trail. Each 50-mile ride is to be
completed in 12 hours elapsed time and the LD must be completed in 6
hours or 7:15 depending on the distance. Junior riders 16 years of
age by Dec. 1, 2006 may ride without a sponsor. A sponsor is an adult who
rides with the junior and carries the juniors PR card. Sponsor changes should be
made at the vet checks with permission of Ride Management. JUNIORS MUST WEAR APPROVED
HELMETS.
